Can 039;t Install Steam On Os X Yosemite 10.10 : Steam For Mac

I can't get Skyrim to launch in steam. Steam works just fine, but when I hit the "Play" button in the Steam menu, it does the "performing first time setup" everytime then doesn't launch the Skyrim launcher. Any suggestions?

The Steam Client Runtime will help you guarantee compatibility with most GNU/Linux distributions. It is recommended to install it in "/valve/steam-runtime", if you don't like this and wish to install the Steam Client Runtime elsewhere: symbolic link is your friend. We are going to assume you want to do the first option.Run the following commands in a terminal, make sure to replace "[USER]" by your login and "[GROUP]" by your group name:

Hi everybody, I have a problem with my MBP Mid2012 running Yosemite 10.10.4. The problem is I can't unlock preference pane on setting (e.g User Groups). When I press the lock icon, it stuck on Authenticating and no Window Dialog that request my admin password. This problem is annoying, I can't install Software or update that need an Admin access. What I have tried is

But someday I tried to boot to safemode, everything was fine. I can unlock the preference pane, I can install anything. But when I reboot and run on Normal Mode, the problem not solved. I don't want to reboot my machine and run into Safemode everytime I need admin access ? . I don't know when the problem start, but I guess start from 10.10.3 security update.

I experienced similar issue where I cannot unlock System Preferences after updating to latest OS X 10.10.4 update. At the time my admin user had no password, i.e. password was left blank which worked everywhere else, e.g. installing new applications etc but not when it came to unlocking System Preferences.

DMG or Disk image is a conventional format used in macOS for distributing macOS installer and applications. DMG is a mainstream file type in older Macs. Still, some old versions of macOS like OS X Lion 10.7, OS X Mountain Lion 10.8, Sierra 10.12, El Capitan 10.11, and Yosemite 10.10 are available to download in DMG format. However, presently, almost all applications have the .app extension when you download from the App Store.
